Why are you a
legal associate with Wolfgram Law?
“Like many of my clients, I began my life in another country and immigrated to the U.S. It is very gratifying to be able to provide Bosnians and other new citizens with help in legal and administrative matters, since I know how overwhelming it can be to need help in a new place.”
Whom do you serve?
“I help serve the growing Bosnian community. There are more than 300,000 Bosnians in the United States. The legal system in the U.S. is very different from what they are accustomed to. We help our Bosnian clients with many legal issues: tickets, Social Security, workers’ compensation, personal injury, and in general whatever they need. We inform them of their legal rights under the U.S. system.”
What advice do you give most often?
“We advise our clients to get more medical treatment. Some of our clients may try to ‘tough it out,’ or are reluctant to seek more treatment. But getting as much medical attention as they need is the most important thing they can do. That way, by the time the case is settled, we can be sure we have made provisions for all the treatment that they are going to need.”
Why should someone select Wolfgram Law?
“I have been working with the Bosnian community here for four years, and I speak the language. Even though many of our Bosnian clients speak very good English, it is often very hard to understand the complicated terminology of legal issues. That’s when they would like to have someone there who they trust and who speaks the language, and I’m there to help.”
Tell us about a recent case.
“One of our Bosnian clients, a cab driver, was involved in a motor vehicle accident. His car was totaled. I called the insurance company on his behalf, and in two days he got his check. I got his rental car issues resolved and he received his medical payments. It was a quick case for him, and he was very happy with our results.”
Unique role in the firm:
““I am a friendly face who immigrants and new citizens can turn to for help with the U.S. system, which often may be new to them. I am currently pursuing a law degree at Saint Louis University.” |
